- Set a goal and be consistent (3x each week I will do _________ workout(s))
- Ramp up your training in the pre-season once school starts in the Fall
- Carrying your training into the season a short in-home workout:
When does training make sense?
- Spring --- to do some prep for spring wrestling tournaments
- Summer --- to get more out of summer wrestling camp(s) by being in shape going before that camp
- Fall --- to gain that mental edge as you get back on the mats
- Winter --- to stay strong and sharp during the season by doing a little extra
Simple In-Home Options
Here are things you can do at home --- with little or no equipment
- Body weight training: Push-ups, Planks, Mountain Climbers, Burpees, Squat Jumps, etc.
- Barbell workouts: curls, shoulder presses, lunges, etc.
- Circuit Training --- Think of Coach Kam and modify for your own home as needed
Add Oomph to your In-Home Training
Spice up your in-home and body weight workouts. These challenging alternatives help build muscles you need in wrestling don't break the bank or don't have any cost at all.
