– To change your game as a wrestler. This means two things:
Always include the goals to improve your:
Determine technique goals by analyzing these 4 questions (for individual matches or for the season). Answering these questions will help you determine what to improve on for you offense and for your defense:
Build your Technique Goals to improve your game & build your wrestling IQ:
And choose Personal Wrestling Goals:
AND ---- Tell everybody about your goals.
You should be proud of where you are and confident in where you want to go!!!

- Go to camp with a game plan --> what do I want to improve on at Camp --- what will change My Game!
- Your learning goals are the focus at the camp - not which camp you choose
Always include the goals to improve your:

- Where did I score?
- Where did I almost score?
- Where did my opponent score?
- Where did my opponent almost score?
Build your Technique Goals to improve your game & build your wrestling IQ:
- How to ride guys on top by controlling opponents’ hips --> not getting reversed
- How to turn opponents for back points
- How to get back points & work for pins without getting reversed from that power position
- How to get the 1st take-down (and any take-down throughout the match)
- How to escape from bottom / move on bottom / not get turned on bottom
And choose Personal Wrestling Goals:
- I want to be varsity
- I want to place in the top 3 at in the state tournament
- I want to place at JV State
AND ---- Tell everybody about your goals.
